College Visits
It is never to early to begin planning for college. All colleges offer high school students the opportunity to visit campus in order to see what types of features their school has to offer. Many students choose to attend the school’s pre-arranged visits, which provide a wealth of knowledge. If these dates don’t work for you, feel free to arrange a personal visit with the college that may better fit your schedule. You can arrange such visits via the school’s website, or through the counseling office. Seniors are allowed 2 excused pre-arranged college days (3 if they met the WorkKeys incentive of a 5 or better on both tests), and juniors are allowed 1 pre-arranged day. Each college sets days for incoming freshman to visit campus free of charge. You can find the schedules for the Illinois/Iowa state schools and several popular colleges for RHS students in the past listed below. If you don’t see the college you are interested in listed, feel free to contact the counseling office for help.
