Mrs. Bohnsack

• Andrew Viscerillo from ISAC will be at the school on Thursday, November 4th during parent/teacher conferences (5-7).  He will be available for parents who have financial aid questions.  He will also be here on November 19th to work with the post high school planning website called What’s Next Illinois.  This website (www.KnowHow2GO) has many tools for students including:

interest inventories to match students with careers

career investigation

4 year planners to ensure they take proper high school coursework

college search/application tools

financial aid help

This website, if used by students, can be an aid that would help them 9-12.  Students will be given the opportunity to sign up for these sessions in study hall, or with Mrs. Bohnsack to learn more about this great opportunity.

 

Rockridge also has access to a new career planning website called Career Cruising.  go to www.careercruising.com; enter in “rockridge” for a user name and “rockets” for a password.  This website offers a variety of career planning and college search tools including

Interest Inventories; Skill Matching; Learning Style Assessments

Search for career specifics including salary, job opportunities, working conditions etc.

Match students with colleges that offer certain programs.
