We have quite a few performances left in the year, so here’s a schedule of events.

Sat, March 6th-Solo and Ensemble at UT (everyone)
Sat, March 6th-Booster Dance (Evening, Jazz Band and Show Choir)

Monday, March 8th-Olympic Band Festival (Selected Students)

Saturday, April 17th-Organization Contest at Monmouth-Roseville (full band)

Monday, May 17th-Jazz Band and Show Choir Concert

Tuesday, May 18th-Jazz Band and Show Choir Concert

Thursday, May 20th-Concert Band Concert

The RHS Concert Band and Jazz Band will be giving a concert on Monday, Dec 14th at 7:00 pm in the high school auditorium. Call time for the students will be 6:00pm. We will be playing a variety of holiday and non holiday music as well as premiering an original work by Dr. Randall Faust, Professor of Horn at Western Illinois University. Dr. Faust will be traveling up to Rockridge to play the solo horn part with us as well!

Monday: 4:45-Call
5:15-Depart
6:15-Warm Up
7:00-Perform
8:45-(approx) arrive home

Thursday: 6:00-On the field, dressed and ready to go. So, you’re not arriving at 6:00, you’re ready to go at 6:00. We’ll run the show once for the parents and then march it with them. After that, we’ll have a regular night practice til’ 9:00.

Saturday: 12:15-Call (eat before you come, there won’t be a meal)
1:30-Game starts. As soon as we finish halftime, load the bus.
4:45-Arrive in Macomb
5:04-Report to Western Hall
5:19-Warm up
5:49-Leave for Stadium
6:04-Arrive at Stadium
6:19-Perform
7:35-Awards
9:00-Arrive home and unload.

9:00-Rehearsal on the field
10:00-Load
10:20-Depart
11:00-Arrive at Geneseo High School
12:00-Clinic
4:30-Suit up
5:18-Head to warm up area
5:33-Warm up

Bring money for concessions. Geneseo has some of the best concessions around. Also, we will be watching other bands when we’re not performing, so come ready to have a good time and see what everyone else is doing.

The Geneseo Maple Leaf Classic is Saturday, September 26th.  It’s an all day event.

For those in Show Choir, this year you get a one day break between camps!  I will keep you informed of dates as they are nailed down.

Before I go into events for the spring, I want to thank all of you who helped make IHSA Contest possible.  From everyone who tirelessly helped in the cafeteria to the people who helped set up ensembles, we really could not have done this without you.

The May Concert Band concert will be held on Thursday, May 21st at 7:00 pm.  This is our concert we do every year with the sixth grade band. 

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Jazz Band/Show Choir show had to be moved.  It will now happen on Tuesday, May 26th and Wednesday, May 27th.  I’m sorry for the change, but this one is out of our hands.
