One of our biggest Band Booster events of the year, the Pep Band Taco Supper, is just around the corner! It will take place Friday, Jan 21st during the Boys Varsity basketball game against Macomb. We could always use assistance with serving and tear down, so if you are interested in helping out, please shoot Mr. Walker and email and he’ll direct it to the boosters.

As we continue to make improvements in the band, events like this are a tremendous help to us. Come have some great food and help support a good cause!

The call time for pep band on Tuesday, Jan 11th is 6:45pm.

Pep Band Call for Thursday, Jan 6th will be 6:00pm.

There will be no jazz band rehearsal on Wed, Jan 5th. We will start up again on Wed, Jan 12th.

Shortly after break, the band site will become the high school music site.  High school band and choir info will be found here.  All junior high information will be on Mrs. Zeglis’ site.  Stay tuned for more details.

This coming Monday, Dec 13th, the RHS Concert and Jazz Bands will be presenting their winter concert.  The concert will begin with the jazz band followed by the concert band with a brief pause in between.  Student teacher Sarah Elger will be featured as a guest conductor to complete her work with us for the semester.  The evening will also feature and arrangement of the traditional “Boar’s Head Carol” written and conducted by RHS senior Mike Sederquist.

Come watch the 7th and 8th grade bands and choirs perform their winter programs this evening.  The 7th grade will perform at 6:30 and the 8th grade will perform at 7:30.  We hope to see you there!

There will be a meeting of the Rockridge Band Boosters this Wednesday, 12/8 at 6:30 pm. The bandroom will be unavailable due to grade school programs, so the location within the building will be TBA. There will be signs up to let you know. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The 8th Grade Concert will be held this Thursday, 12/9 at 7:30pm. Call time for the 8th grade band will be 7:00. Required dress is black pants, black socks, black shoes, and a short sleeve white shirt. We provide the polo. We hope to see you there!
