Jazz Band will rehearse tonight from 6-8 instead of 5-7 to try to work around the scholastic bowl event.

To try to work work with auditorium availability next week, we will be moving jazz band practice to Tuesday. Practice will go from 5-7. The pep band game scheduled for that night will be canceled and another game for pep band B will be rescheduled for 1/11.

All of the items from our annual fruit fundraiser will be arriving this Friday, Dec 3rd. Please make arrangements with your student to get the items delivered to their customers as soon as possible to ensure freshness.

Last Wednesday, ComedySportz QC had their grand opening at the new Establishment Theater in downtown Rock Island. The RHS drumline was asked to give a surprise performance to help give the show an exciting start. The drumline played for a sold out ComedySportz audience. See the article below.

As winter draws closer and closer, the chances of band events getting canceled due to weather become greater and greater. If school is canceled or we end school early for weather, any band events will obviously be canceled that night. If however, there is a night where school has not been canceled and weather is questionable, check in on this site. I will do my utmost to try to keep you informed about any cancellations.

Over the course of the last two Saturdays, various members of the Rockridge Junior and Senior high have participated in the IMEA District II Band and Orchestra Festivals. Ali Knollenberg, Miyah Sellers, and Carly Walker played in the junior band, Mike Sederquist and Daisy Bower played in the senior band, and Matt Stine traveled to DeKalb to play in the senior orchestra. Way to go!!!

Call time for Meet the Teams Night is 6:15. The event starts at 7:00.

The RHS Band winter concert is not too far away. It will be happening on Monday, Dec 13th at 7:00pm. More details are forthcoming.
