About Mrs. Mowers

My name is Stephanie Mowers and I’m the new 7th grade math teacher here at Rockridge Jr. High.  I was born in Texas but grew up in Geneseo, Illinois.  I went to school at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL and graduated with my teaching degree in math.  This summer has been a busy one.  I got married in July and now live with my new husband, Craig, in Rock Island.  Here are a few other things about me:

Birthday: April 17th

Favorite Number:  I like the number 13.  People think it is unlucky but not always!

Favorite Book:  The Bronze Bow by Elizabeth George Speare

Favorite Movie: Sweet Home Alabama

Favorite Food:  I have too many to choose from but my favorites are pizza, tacos, lasagna, and BROWNIES!

Hobbies: I like to read, watch movies, bake, crochet, play board games, and take dance lessons with my husband.

Future Goals: I’d like to start earning my Masters degree in a few years.  I’d like to travel to all 50 states in the USA. I’d like to travel around Europe and ride in a hot air balloon.  But most importantly….have a great school year!!
